Christmas Crooning by Lauren
Our intern Suzy is getting us in the festive spirit with some Christmas music this week - here's her seasonal song round-up...
Today the battle for that highly sought after Christmas number one spot is really hotting up as bookies favourite ‘Wherever you are’ by the Military Wives Choir had been released for purchase. At Clearsilver we think the Choir's heart warming story and great cause (proceeds go to Royal British Legion and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) makes them truly deserving of the title.
However we can’t help but be excited by the prospect of another come back controversy courtesy of Nirvana. ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ was released 20 years ago, only reaching number seven in November 1991 yet is bookies second favourite to take the top spot from Xfactor finalists Little Mix with their first single ’Cannonball’ who come in at third position with bookies.
And must we mention the cast of The Only Way Is Essex, ‘Last Christmas’? At 100/1 odds with the bookies, lets hope it stays that way!
