This morning, we were all nervously refreshing the CIPR Awards’ Twitter feed when the time came for this year’s PRide Awards nominees to be revealed.
We are beyond delighted to announce that our PR and media campaign – executed on behalf of our client, national breast cancer support charity, The Haven, for their #BreastCancerHavenGarden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show – has been nominated for best not-for-profit campaign AND best low budget campaign!
The outstanding media coverage generated by our PR team helped The Haven’s artisan garden to win both Gold for its category, as well as the People’s Choice Award at RHS Chelsea, breaking the six-year winning streak of the previous title-holders.
We secured five BBC airtime features totalling 14 minutes, and secured 70 regional and national print features including The Guardian, The Daily Express, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Daily Mirror and The Sun.
The RHS Chelsea press activity created a 194% increase in direct web traffic to The Haven’s website, as well as an 82% increase in page views, with Twitter following growing by 1562.
The PRide Awards dinner takes place on the 26th November – we’ll have everything crossed until then!
