‘The Down Hill Only Club’ (DHO) , founded in Wengen in the Jungfrau Region of the Swiss Bernese Oberland in 1925 could be found last weekend at the Battersea Evolution, located in the heart of London’s stunning Battersea Park for this year’s annual Ski & Snowboard Show. The DHO joined ‘Euro Airport’ and ‘Ferretti Tourism’ on their high profile stand at the entrance of the show. It was great to meet the ‘Skiset Wengen’ team as well as Sean McCarthy from the Swiss Ski School Wengen and Alan Norris who owns the ‘Hotel Caprice’ in Wengen. The stand offered all the information necessary for anyone looking to holiday in the Jungfrau Region this coming season.

From Leeds to London; My PR placement journey

The competition in PR, especially in this digital age, is incredibly high, so in my second year at Leeds Beckett University I decided to seek work experience to help me ‘stand out’ when applying for sandwich year placements. Clearsilver host placements for award winning students

As you may have read in our previous blog post ‘Clearsilver sponsor student internships for social media award winners’, we’re heavily involved with Leeds-based young enterprise charity, LEAP.

LEAP is a registered not for profit organisation which works closely with schools and colleges based in Yorkshire, mentoring students to give them the knowledge and ability to be able to set up, and successfully manage, their own companies.  Clearsilver Director, Louise Leach, is a member of the LEAP board, with Clearsilver this year sponsoring two new awards at the annual ceremony: the most improved use of social media, and the best overall use of social media.
