CREATE Brand Identity
CREATE needed a brand identity, design strategy and web presence to position them as a professional, credible start-up business
CREATE is
A new Leeds based Community Interest Company providing a positive link between homelessness and joblessness.
Design Brief?
The design had to be flexible enough to incorporate the partnership with St George's Crypt but be able to stand alone once CREATE became an independent enterprise.
Anything else?
The design strategy had to be adaptable to reflect the many different business projects under the CREATE umbrella. Separate identities would be required for various applications and franchises:
- CREATE Food, offering outside catering to both the corporate and private sectors.
- CREATE Housekeeping, offering a commercial cleaning service to corporate customers, end of tenancy deep cleans, laundry services and housekeeping for Serviced Apartments.
- CREATE Skills, an in house Training Suite offering literacy, numeracy, NVQs and more, in partnership with Joseph Priestley College.
Results
First impressions count and CREATE has forged strong links with a number of large businesses and corporations in the region as the brand identity has secured the company's image as a credible business, to be taken seriously. This has helped achieve turnover in excess of £156,000 in 2008, which is dramatically higher than the predicted £40,000 - plus CREATE employs 15 people in full time sustainable, long term jobs.
CREATE Food feeds up to 1000 people per week, serving large corporate customers including Barclays Bank and Leeds City Council. This success has led to the launch of the first franchise project, M25 CREATE in Doncaster in March 2009.
Cafe CREATE opened two outlets in Leeds City Centre with plans for more throughout the UK.
For every extra 100 people that CREATE Food caters for it allows them to take on another permanent member of staff - so great design isn't just increasing profits - it's helping to transform lives
