SmartFixIT wanted a high impact launch to appeal to the general public and schools across Yorkshire and Lancashire

Objectives

  • To generate maximum coverage for this new company and the services offered
  • To record data for future e-newsletters and e-marketing campaigns.

What did we do?

Clearsilver designed a series of competitions inviting school children to draw a computer Superhero - the final designs were then featured in the local press with the winners receiving their own laptop, one for their school and a range of computer support items (USB sticks, extra memory etc).

We also placed competitions to win a laptop throughout other regional titles.

The competitions and giveaways ran alongside a general PR campaign that was designed to target regional, Third Sector, business and consumer media.

Results

The competitions proved incredibly successful with many of the publications anecdotal feedback reporting that entry levels were among the highest ever received.
In a three month period and in addition to the competition and giveaways we also generated £45,000 worth of coverage.

Highlights

The Lancashire Evening Post extended the children's competition to include a supplement of all the entries and significant coverage of the winning pupils and schools being presented with their prizes by SmartFixIT representatives
