The Haven PR Campaign
The Haven provides a completely free programme of support and holistic therapies to both women and men with breast cancer
In order to raise awareness of The Haven in Yorkshire and beyond, Clearsilver developed and managed a comprehensive media relations programme on behalf of the charity.
From August 2010 – January 2011, Clearsilver created a hardworking media relations programme that maximised relationships with local ambassadors, such as Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh to create maximum news impact across the region and nationally. Achieving over 28 pieces of print, online and broadcast coverage, reaching over two million people and with a PR value of over £180,000, the team at The Haven were delighted with the results.
On Valentine's Day 2011, Clearsilver and The Haven teamed up with top TV chef, Marco Pierre White to host a fundraising lunch. The event, which was held at the Box Tree in Ilkley where Marco's career began, raised a whopping £17,000 for the charity, and helped increase awareness of the rising incidence rate of breast cancer through blanket media coverage.
