Following a competitive pitch, the Variety Club of Great Britain Children’s Charity has appointed Leeds based brand communications agency Clearsilver, for a comprehensive redevelopment of their fully functional e-commerce website.
Clearsilver responded to key objectives set by the charity to raise their profile and generate awareness of their work through an easy to navigate, fresh, content rich website. Designing with the charity’s glitzy show-business heritage in mind, the site will include information sections on the marvelous work Variety Club undertake across the UK for disabled and disadvantaged children. Prominent features will include an event online booking system and e-commerce shop.
Clearly impressed with the agency, The Variety Club made their decision just hours after the pitch presentation, much to the delight of Clearsilver MD, Ian Leach. “Winning the Variety Club website redevelopment is exciting and rewarding,” Ian commented, “Our extensive ‘not-for-profit’ sector online skills mean The Variety Club can be confident they’ll receive quality design, plus the inclusion of content built to attract a wide user group and improved SEO results.
Claire Horton, COO at the Variety Club is extremely confident about the decision to appoint Clearsilver noting, “Clearsilver came to us with a clear vision for the new website which perfectly embodied the direction and aims we see for the Variety Club as we move forward to celebrate the charity’s 60th Birthday in 2009.”
