Fashion and beauty is one of Clearsilver’s key sectors of expertise. During May, our PR team worked closely with The Yorkshire Post, to set-up, organise, and manage a lifestyle photoshoot for one of our newest clients – online-only women’s fashion brand – Lavitta.
Clearsilver first secured a partnership with The Yorkshire Post on behalf of Lavitta when the brand first launched in March. They included a Lavitta jacket in a rundown of red pieces perfect for Spring, which was featured in both the Yorkshire Post and the Yorkshire Evening Post, as well as online.
Once this article was published – the Fashion Editor expressed a keen interest in the Lavitta brand, and offered us the opportunity of working with her on a full day’s photoshoot and feature for the Yorkshire Post Magazine. We, of course, jumped at the chance!
We decided on ‘special occasion’ for the theme of the photoshoot, and chose beautiful, local venue, The Mansion at Roundhay Park, as the location. With the building’s focal-point stunning staircase and picturesque grounds, this was the perfect place to showcase Lavitta’s range of occasionwear.
Clearsilver also recruited the extremely talented Anna Stephenson as our hair and make-up guru for the day, who did an amazing job re-styling our model for each individual look. You might recognise Julie, Lavitta’s lovely model, as she’s one of the ladies currently featured on the Lavitta website, and has previously worked on numerous high-profile advertising campaigns for major brands.
On the morning of the photoshoot, I met the team bright and early at The Mansion, and luckily, the sun was shining. Taking advantage of the nice weather, we prepped the first look and headed straight down to the gardens at Roundhay Park – I never even knew that this little place existed! Like a secret garden, you walk through the flower archways and find yourself in a wonderland of bright plants and quaint water features – the perfect place to complement the vibrant colours of the outfit.
We then returned to The Mansion to photograph the next couple of outfits in the grounds, with a lovely view of Roundhay Park behind us. It’s safe to say that we attracted quite an audience from diners having their lunch in The Mansion’s Garden Room, which is situated just in front of where we were shooting.
After the above, a slightly edgier look was captured, with leggings, heels and an animal print top, accessorised with a clutch and sunglasses. The day went without a hitch, and was a fantastic networking experience, as well as generating some amazing shots for our client. A big thank you goes out to Stephanie, Anna, Julie and the staff at The Mansion, for making the day a success, and helping us to create some fantastic results.
The photoshoot was featured on the front cover, and in a five-page spread in last Saturday’s Yorkshire Post Magazine. Seeing the amazing coverage was the icing on the cake to all the careful planning and preparation. Take a look at the rest of the shots, and watch the ‘behind the scenes’ video that was compiled on the day on The Yorkshire Post website – if you look closely, you can even spot me!
