This weekend, our client, flagship Wakefield shopping centre, Trinity Walk, sponsored the Wakefield Hospice Colour Run. As firm supporters of a number of charities we volunteered to man one of the paint stations. What better way to spend a Sunday morning than covering people in paint?!
Armed with waterproofs to deter the sprinkling showers we went out to set up the barriers and posters for our orange paint station, which was twinned with Trinity Walks’ pink paint station. The rain soon stopped and we were extremely lucky to get a morning full of bright sunshine.
So, without further ado –meet the Clearsilver paint throwers…
First, we have our Head of Creative, Paul, and Creative Designer, Annabelle, ready for action! Here we have me in the middle, with our mini Clearsilver recruit – my little sister, and one of our close friends. Finally, we have Annabelle and her other half, and James, Clearsilver’s Web Developer. Here we all are – in our bright orange glory! We also had some volunteers from Wakefield Hospice join us at our orange station, to make sure that we had as many hands on deck as possible. We began with some paint practise – to make sure that we could all create the perfect cloud of paint.
The first runners arrived at our station at around 11:15, and the madness began!
Near the end of the race, it turned out that we may have been a bit eager with our paint throwing. So, we had to send James into the battlefield to carry out some emergency paint retrieval! We had a great day, all in the name of helping out a fantastic charity alongside our client, Trinity Walk. Take a look at the photo album on our Facebook page to see even more photographs of us dishing out the paint at the Wakefield Hospice Colour Run.
