Last night, the Clearsilver team dusted off their glad rags and made their way to Leeds city centre venue, Aspire, for the CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards. We couldn’t be more delighted to announce that we were awarded Silver in the ‘Not-for-Profit’ campaign category for our national media outreach for breast cancer support charity, The Haven, and their ‘Breast Cancer Haven Garden’ at the internationally renowned RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The award adds to the overall success of the RHS event where the Breast Cancer Haven Garden won Gold for Best Artisan Garden, as well as the People’s Choice Award as voted for by the general public. Thanks to the 70 national and regional features secured – and five slots on BBC TV – The Haven saw their web traffic increase by 194% and their Twitter following grow by 1600.
Clearsilver’s Head of PR, Victoria Sowerby, said: “We’re thrilled with the outcome of last night’s event. The award really is the icing on the cake for the overall success of the RHS Chelsea ‘Breast Cancer Haven Garden’ campaign and is testament to the hard work of the team who ensured everything that was possible was delivered for The Haven through the unique opportunity that Chelsea Flower Show provided. Last night’s ceremony marks a great end to what has been a truly successful year for Clearsilver Charity Marketing.”
The CIPR-win comes just a week ahead of another award nomination for Clearsilver, this time for their ‘What’s your Story?’ campaign for Leeds City Council. Watch this space for an update on how we get on…
