Solihull Sixth Form College

Brief

We were brought on board by the Summit Learning Trust to create the new Solihull Sixth Form College website. This followed the successful design and build of their Trust website and eight of their school websites.

The brief was to design a website which was in line with Summit Learning Trust website but not too similar – the sixth form website was to retain its own personality. It was to have vibrant colours and videos, engaging prospective students and drawing them in to learn about courses at the college. There were also to be clear calls to action to get people to book on to open days and apply for places.

Strategy

As per the brief, our digital team designed a bold, inviting website – one which would appeal to prospective students (as opposed to just their parents).

We built the website in Craft CMS, as the Trust wished to invest in the backend technology, making the site more customisable and scaleable. It offers high performance, low loading times, and a very user-friendly backend experience.

Results

The new website went live in Autumn 2024, and the school is delighted with the outcome. We have enjoyed working with them since, to provide the website with updates and new features.
