Brief
The Jo Cox Foundation required PR support for their two flagship awareness campaigns: The Great Winter Get Together and the summer Great Get Together. Inspired by the late Jo Cox MP, the campaigns bring together communities to celebrate what unites us, to bridge divides and to make new connections.
Strategy
With independent research at the forefront, highlighting both youth loneliness and a lack of belonging within a community, we set out to secure regional and national print, online and broadcast coverage. Our media outreach aimed to secure interviews for the charity’s CEO to discuss the campaigns, as well as raise awareness about the Get Together events taking place across the country.
Results
With a combined total of over 130 pieces of coverage – including Times Radio, Metro, Good Morning Britain, Yorkshire Post and BBC Radio Leeds – we secured a wide-spread of print media coverage as well as regional and national TV and radio interviews.
