The Big Tea Cosy 2019 has been another resounding success, with Clearsilver securing a multitude of key PR coverage.

Following the success of Breast Cancer Haven’s Big Tea Cosy 2018, Clearsilver has once again been supporting the national breast cancer charity to encourage everyone to embrace the cold weather, cosy up with friends and loved ones, and ‘bake and make for breast cancer’ throughout March 2019.

The Big Tea Cosy 2019 has been another resounding success, with Clearsilver securing a multitude of key online and print media PR coverage for the campaign, including Good Housekeeping, Crafts Beautiful, Crochet Now, Inside Crochet, Make It Today! Crochet Club, Free From Heaven, Knitting, Cake Decoration & Sugarcraft and more!

With food celebrity support from Great British Bake Off 2013 winner Francis Quinn, MasterChef 2016 winner Jane Devonshire, Hemsley & Hemsley and many more – plus unique support from the world’s largest knitting supplier, LoveKnitting, selling exclusive knitting and crochet patterns, with all proceeds going towards the charity’s supportive service – it’s a campaign not to be missed!

On 28th February 2019, Breast Cancer Haven hosted a ‘come and get cosy’ pop up living room in collaboration with LoveKnitting, in Old Spitalfields market, London, where visitors could pop by, enjoy a mini tea party in comfort and knit a small square to be made into a large patchwork blanket, or even make a boob pompom, all for Breast Cancer Haven.

At Clearsilver HQ, we had a flipping good time for Pancake Day, with a pancake party for the Big Tea Cosy. Sweet and savoury pancakes were enjoyed by the team, with inordinate quantities of Nutella being consumed, all for a good cause (if not our diets!)

Members of the Clearsilver team also visited the Just Grand! vintage tearooms here in Leeds, where we joined the Yorkshire Big Tea Cosy event and took part in the knitting and crochet masterclass being held.

Our in-house craft specialist, Kathryn, has also knitted a cosy bobble hat (in our Clearsilver colours of course) to donate on behalf of the agency to Breast Cancer Haven to gift to someone undergoing breast cancer treatment, as a sign of comfort and support as they go through a difficult time in their life.

Supporters are encouraged to join forces with their friends and family to throw a tea party and raise the funds that are so vital to providing support to those who have experience of breast cancer.

Whether you’re a master chef, crafting connoisseur or a complete beginner, anyone can host their own Big Tea Cosy tea party or ‘Crafternoon’, or purchase one of LoveKnitting’s lovely knitting and crochet patterns being sold and help aid those in need of the national breast cancer charity.
